Department of Sociology is a department that believes in binding each and every faculty and student in one frame.We are one family.The department always encourages its students to think big,to step into the wider world.
Department of Sociology includes Ms.(Lieutenant) Sayoni Biswas as the Departmental Head. Mr.Simul Ch.Das as State Aided College Teacher Mr.Samir Barman and Mrs.Sunanda Barman as Invitee teachers.
The Department includes both Honours and Programme Course It also conducts a field survey for the 6th Semester Honours students to train them in conducting surveys on subjects related to village issues with the aim to help them relate to practical issues and problems that are actually happening in the society as the subject Sociology deals with the Society and social relationships as a whole.
The only vision and mission of the department is to see its students successful and established in their respective fields.The department aims to teach its students to gain knowledge and make them aware about todays society.The department aims to help its students to create their own identity.
